Hawthorne Steel Pergola Canopy is a 14 x 12 ft outdoor structure with a galvanized steel frame and a light-filtering sail shade. It has a traditional pergola layout with a contemporary white finish. In addition, the included PowerPort provides electrical outlets and USB ports when connected to a suitable power source.
14 x 12 Foot Size
The pergola measures 14 feet wide and 12 feet deep. Its assembled height is listed at 7 feet 8 inches.
Therefore, check the complete installation area before assembly. Also, leave suitable space around the structure for access.
Galvanized Steel Frame
The Hawthorne Steel Pergola Canopy uses galvanized steel for its main structure. In addition, the supplied details list a powder-coated exterior finish.
The steel frame creates the posts, beams, and overhead pergola structure. Its white finish also matches the product shown in the supplied image.
Sail Shade Canopy
A soft sail shade comes with the pergola. The supplied information describes it as a light-filtering canopy made from breathable woven fabric.
In addition, the fabric allows air and water to pass through. Therefore, it provides partial overhead shade rather than acting as a solid waterproof roof.
Traditional Design
The pergola combines a traditional overhead beam layout with geometric posts. Hidden internal joints also help create a cleaner exterior appearance.
Moreover, the contemporary white finish gives the structure a neutral look for patios and other suitable outdoor spaces.
Powder Coated Finish
The supplied details list powder coating and galvanization on the steel structure. Stainless steel hardware is also listed.
Therefore, follow the maker’s care instructions to maintain the finish. Check the frame and hardware during normal seasonal care.
PowerPort
The included removable PowerPort has three electrical outlets and three USB ports. It can be placed on a suitable pergola post.
However, the PowerPort needs an external power source to operate. A power source is not included according to the supplied information.
Anchoring Plates
Powder-coated steel anchoring plates are included in the structure design. Post covers help conceal these plates after installation.
Therefore, follow the installation instructions for proper placement and anchoring. Local ground conditions and installation requirements can vary.
Wind Rating
The supplied product information identifies the pergola as a Pro-Tect certified performance structure. It lists testing for winds up to 100 mph.
However, proper assembly and anchoring are essential for structural performance. Therefore, follow all installation instructions and applicable local requirements.
Assembly
The pergola requires assembly. The supplied information also lists support through the BILT app with step-by-step assembly guidance.
Because the assembled structure weighs 673 pounds, plan the installation before unpacking the components. Use suitable help and equipment where needed.
Outdoor Living Space
The 14 x 12 ft footprint can define a patio seating or outdoor living area. For example, the supplied image shows outdoor furniture positioned beneath the structure.
However, furniture and decorative items shown in the lifestyle image should not be treated as included unless separately listed in the package contents.
Package Information
The product ships in four listed boxes. Each box measures 89 3/4 x 18 3/4 x 6 3/4 inches.
The listed box weights are 183 lb, 194 lb, 132 lb, and 163 lb. Therefore, plan suitable handling before moving the packages.
